Why Attend

WHY SHOULD A PLAYER ATTEND?

Attending Global provides a unique opportunity to compete with motivated, high-caliber players from across North America in a challenging, fast-paced environment. With guest coaches and staff from a variety of leagues and levels, players benefit from diverse perspectives on hockey development and learn that there are multiple paths available as they progress in the sport.

Our structure includes rotating coaches during practices and games, giving players access to a wide range of teaching styles and development approaches. Players also gain valuable insight into the next steps in their hockey journey—whether they are considering college, junior hockey, or simply looking to continue improving their game.

WHY SHOULD PARENTS / PLAYERS ATTEND?

Global provides more than on-ice development. Parents and players can attend comprehensive seminars led by coaches and hockey staff, offering a clearer understanding of what different levels of hockey emphasize in player development. Families receive tools to help them make informed decisions—such as how to evaluate junior programs, what questions to ask, and how to understand various developmental pathways.

Our guest coaches participate in both practices and seminars, offering players and families broad insight into the expectations, structure, and demands of higher levels of hockey. We also provide information to help families understand roles such as advisors or agents and how different decisions can affect eligibility and long-term planning.

For over 35 years, Global Sports has supported players in pursuing higher levels of the game. More than 1,000 alumni have gone on into junior, collegiate, professional, and elite competitive hockey. Some notable alumni include: Brent Seabrook, Carey Price, Milan Lucic and Bobby Ryan. Click here to see our Alumni list
