A great experience - great value - my daughter, Ashley and my son, Brock both have been attending Global Sports Camps since they were Atom Age hockey players. Both have played in Elite Tournaments across North America and no Tournament compares to Global in terms of the actual number of coaches who attend Global. The informal and accommodating atmosphere allows you and your young hockey player the opportunity to approach and talk to NCAA Schools. (Note- they are not permitted to approach you.) I encourage all parents and players to take advantage of this great opportunity.

Plus, the information Seminars Global puts on during this Global Showcase is invaluable. You learn the eligibility rules, academic requirements and, for the boys, the CHL Rules regarding what makes you eligible or ineligible.

My daughter, Ashley, is now enjoying NCAA Division 1 hockey at Colgate University.
My son, Brock, is presently playing Junior A and is still undecided on NCAA or the WHL.
However, thanks to Global, Brock has the facts necessary to make his decision.

Global is a "must" for young players who want
exposure to and information about the NCAA.

...Gilbert had been attending the Global Scouting Showcase since he was 9, I think. In particular, I would like to thank you for the advice you gave Gilbert when he was at the global Scouting Showcase at the age of 15. At Langley Twin Rinks you pulled him aside and said "Gilbert, reach for the stars and play Jr. A". I will always remember that day. After that moment Gilbert received a few offers from Jr. A teams in the BCHL. As a result, Gilbert did not have to play Bantam or Jr. B that year and had a very successful season with the Quesnel Millionaires Jr. A hockey club. He received the TOP ROOKIE honours with the Quesnel Millionaires and also had the honour of being named the recipient of the Bruce Allison Memorial Trophy for Rookie of the Year in his conference of the BCHL for the 2002-2003 season.

If anyone has any questions or doubts about your Global Scouting Showcase, just have them give me a call. I will give a glowing recommendation.

I am sitting listening to the Denver Pioneer/University of Anchorage game. I can't even think of what words I could use to describe my emotion. Every Friday and Saturday night for the last 5 years,. Pam and I have been glued to our computer, we listen to all of Gabe's games. We usually order Pizza and click onto both the home team and visitor web sites as the names are called on the radio. I'm painting a picture for you Roy, a picture that many parents would like to have painted for themselves as well. The message is very clear to us and it goes like this. Gabe has had a dream since he was about 10 years old, that dream is to someday play ice hockey as a professional. The point of this letter is to thank you, Roy, thank you to Global Sports Scouting Services and Global Sports Camps. You gave Gabe the awesome opportunity to hone his skills and to showcase his talent as a committed hockey player. Today he plays center for the University of Denver, one of the most elite teams in NCAA competition. This all became reality simply because of your keen eye and your networking skills as a professional scout and mentor. I believe, the parents of the players Gabe has had the opportunity to play with as well echo this short thank you. Players like Jeff Tambellini (Michigan), Micah Sanford (Omaha NB), Chris Fournier (Alaska Anchorage), Brett Sterling (Colorado College). It would be my hope that players everywhere would come to find out about Global Sports Camps, the company that helps Dreams come true!

Another excellent Showcase in 2003 - thanks so much for all your efforts in hosting this great event ... it just gets better and better. As a goalie, I particularly appreciated the addition this year of the two goalie development sessions. As I am sure you are aware, we goalies have been known to mumble under our breath (from time to time) about how we are not always remembered in the planning of team practices nor at camps not specifically for goalies. The Global Showcase remembered us - Thank You! I also valued the Seminar on Saturday night and was very interested in the thoughts you shared regarding the Bantam Draft - thanks for stepping up and speaking so directly on this topic. Please keep this Showcase going strong - I look forward to participating in it again next year. Thanks again!
